Two Boer Battles
Nooitgedacht

Site of the battle of Nooitgedacht.
Sites where the British were encamped shown as are the routes taken by the Boers to attack. The visit ends with a summation of the war and stories told to illustrate the effects of the war on the people and on subsequent events. We visit one of the grave on the farm, and drive past one of the biggest colony’s of Cape Vultures in South Africa, before visiting a little known Boer soldier graveyard, where we leave flowers.
Bronkhorstspruit
We drive to Bronkhorstspruit and visit the site of the battle that took place on 20th December, 1880, as well as the memorials there to the 94th Foot Regiment.The story of the battle is told in vivid detail.
